David Kellert is an active freelance musician and private instructor in the Washington, D.C. area. He received his Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he studied with Emerson Head, Chris Gekker, and Steve Hendrickson. Currently he is a freelance musician in the Washington, D.C. area and performs regularly at Toby’s Dinner Theatre in Columbia, Maryland.

An accomplished chamber and orchestral musician, he has appeared in recitals and performances across the United States as well as attended summer programs such as the National Orchestral Institute and the Brevard Music Center. He has performed with the Washington Concert Opera, Master Chorale of Washington, the Friday Morning Music Club Orchestra, the Alexandria Symphony, and the National Cathedral Choral Society Orchestra, among others.

Mr. Kellert maintains an active music studio of more than thirty students throughout the year, many of whom have gone on to pursue successful careers in the arts and other distinguished fields. His students perform in recitals and concerts throughout the year, and have participated in many contests, honors bands and orchestras, and competitions.
